Vire-Clesse

A beautiful Chardonnay from Bourgogne. Not heavy, thanks to the nature of old world style of wines. I personally am not a fan of California Chards unless it is old world style like Peter-Michael (please try it, it is amazing if you are a fan of the style). This one even went beautifully with lavender chocolate! It has a nice citrus set of notes, a very golden light yellow color that is a medium body with a tinge of acidity that can cut through foods on the slighty greasy side. I accompanied my bagalipolo with this Chardonnay and it complemented wonderfully the dill in the meat.
